I think not.

According to Weston's More Clarinet Virtuosi of the Past, he was a clarinet
pupil at the Vienna Conservatoire from 1824 to 1826. In addition to the
416 Etudes he wrote Burlesque for half a clarinet, Fantasie concertante Op.
2, Fantasie & Variations on the drinking song "Im Tiefen Keller", and 5 duets.

Must have been an interesting guy,
