Wouldn't normally mention this, but since mail is the subject here:

I recently did an experiment with my business students. As part of a lesson
in the power of the zip code, I mailed myself a signed check and had a
trusted student drop it in the local mail box on Wednesday morning.. The
only thing on the outside of the envelope was the postage stamp and my zip
code. It was in my mailbox Thursday afternoon, 50 miles away from where it
was mailed. Tell me how it was done and I promise to practice more in the
month of March. (no entries from postal clerks, please)
