Klarinet Archive - Posting 000853.txt from 2000/09
From: Bilwright@-----.net (William Wright) Subj: [kl] Brahms Sonata No. 2 Date: Wed, 27 Sep 2000 00:12:40 -0400
This post is mostly to Tony Pay -- just to let you know that I am
doing a little bit more than just looking at the printed music and
listening to CDs.
I am working on (with?) the sonata. The allegro tempo isn't as
impossible for me as I thought it would be.
I have noticed several spots where the CD (Leister) departs from
what's written on the page. Example: the eighth rest in measure #2 is
almost completely replaced by a slur of the previous note. And I've got
to do something about my E in measure #2. Mine sounds horrible, and I
haven't figured out why yet. E3 is supposed to be an especially secure
note.
....just so you know, Tony.
Cheers,
Bill
