Hi all.

Any assistance with writing parts for percussion (specifically drum kit) for either pit
orchestra/combo or concert/military band would be gratefully received. Are there any conventions of
notation? Walter Piston's book ("Orchestration") is excellent for orchestral parts (including
percussion), but not so for kit parts.

To keep this on-topic:
But I wouldn't suggest using your nice pair of clarinets as drumsticks.

Seriously, though, sorry for the off-topic post, but I figure that there are enough expert musicians
on this list that some folks would be able to help me. It may be better if you reply off-list to
