With respect to Clarke's comments on the fee he is charging me to repair
my two full Boehm clarinets, I have the following comments to make:

(1) He has not yet been paid
(2) He will be paid by a check drawn on a bank in Katmandu
(3) I will be out of town should he try and reach me after his Kathmandu
excursion -- the check cannot be cashed except by personally presenting
oneself to the bank with a great deal of identification, none of which
is generally available to most people, and which is never available to
anyone dumb enough to overhaul two full Boehm clarinets
(4) When he told me the price, I said "Yes." However, there is no
evidence that that answer was to his statement.
(5) Vinny, who collects debts owed me, will also do a number on anyone I
ask him to do and for which he collects $25 for serious damage and $50
for fatal damage. I am paying him $75.
