Last night I walked into the pizza joint. One of the two clerks
was sitting atop the counter playing a clarinet. The other was 'tappity
tapping' on the side of the oven with a pair of ladles.

"Hi fellows, can I have a large pepperoni?"

"Naw, we can't make pizzas today."

"Why not?"

"We forgot to order the cheese. Maybe tomorrow, OK?"

....gee willikers, I hope that clarinet playing doesn't do this sort of
thing to *my* mind.
