I have noticed this, too. I think it can be from one or both of two reasons
I can think of:

1) the reed is non-pourous, unlike cane, and does not absorb water like cane
does, and

2) perhaps because they are clear you can *see* the water on the inside of
the mouthpiece whereas the cane reed isn't transparent like the Legere.

On the subject of the Legere reeds:

When playing a Legere reed I have more problems with moisture buildup on
the inside of the reed, between the reed and the window of my
mouthpiece. I don't seem to have this problem nearly as much with my
cane reeds.......I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?
