I only have one performance tonight also. The Baytown Symphony Orchestra is
playing for (aww...you guessed it) the fireworks tonight 9:00pm until
10:30pm. We play after some Tejano and country singers. We are doing a
couple of opera arias from La Traviata in the midst of the patriotic
selections. I don't know how the beer drinking Bubbas in the audience will
handle them, but maybe they can handle just two. Of course with the position
of the outdoor stage, we don't get to see the fireworks, but like an earlier
poster said, we all suffer for our art. It is mild down here in this part of
Texas for this time of year, only in the mid 90's. Of course the humidity is
still so high it feels like 105. Hope everybody has good performances
tonight.
