there. MP3 has NOTHING to do with Napster - totally > unrelated, and non
affiliated 100%. Sorry about that. The MP3 suit was about MP3 buying 80,000
CDs, putting them on their site - pre-ripped and MP3 converted - without
any licenses, and only allowing people to download the music if they
actually bought a legal copy of the CD (either they uploaded a code from
their own CD or purchased it online). Of course, people are honest, and
they wouldn't borrow their friend's CD to unlock the download of an MP3
file. Uh huh. Not that Michael Robertson would try stretching the law and
seeing what he could get away with. The MP3 artists are a completely
different thing - they explicitly allow the download of some of their music
as a "hook". Since they individually make the determination of what goes
out and they've agreed to the terms, there's no problem. Mark

Yes , but why would someone who has the physical CD do that?? Lots simpler
to tape it, or burn it while in hand.
I don't like what they did either Mark - thought it was a dumb idea even
without the site.
But it isn't napster though. That one is bad news.
Your new Radio Station is cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
