MENC has a vested interest, not my idea of really impartial collectors = 
of data. 
Numerous studies have shown that numerous studies show exactly what the = 
funding organization want them to. 
What we need is a study from the NCAA, for instance, showing that music = 
students have increased academic performance relative to athletes. I = 
might believe _that_ one.

How bout just the Brain scan that shows that Music uses a very large 
portion of the brain to control a high number of small muscles.  Opposite 
for Sports - small portion of Brain to control very large muscles. (DENNIS 
RODMAN...) 
 
I got that from a Lecture at a ClarFest (Richmond) by Dr. Frank R. Wilson.
