Ed...the WW&BW agreed to fax me a picture of this item over a month ago but
to-date...nothing! The woman I talked with initially wasn't able to
describe the stand nor could she locate anyone who could.

I've been using a Koenig & Meyer bass clarinet/bassoon stand, also in the
WW&BW catalog. Don't recall the price but my recollection is, it's ten or
fifteen dollars more than the GrowWithMe.

The K&M is a solid, well built, and resonable efficient bass clarient
stand. But paradoxically, that's also its major weakness! It's bulky and
hevay and a bear to lug around with a bass clarinet and , if necessary,

The K&M has one minor functional shortcoming, in my view. It uses a cup on
the base to hold the bass clarinet rod, and the latter doesn't always sit
securely there. One "fix" is to take a 2 or 3 inch section of a solid
cardboard mailing tube and fit it into the cup. Other people use different
methods to sit the end of the rod solidly!

Except for the small inconvenience of having moare weight than I like to
drag around, the K&M is quite good. Regards...Fred S.
