Subj: [kl] Doodad anxiety: reed players vs. brassholes
Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 12:54:36 -0400

But brassholes are very resourceful. <g> The discussion reminds me of one
fall (too many years ago) when I was at university. People in the music
department drew names for Christmas, and (usually) gave gag gifts. My
fiancee drew the name of a trumpet player, and having the same warped
personality as me, gave him a box of tampons. (Great hillarity had by all,
of course, at the party.) A few days later, I walked by the instrument
repair/maintainence room. He was standing at the sink, using the inserts
from the tampons to clean the valve casings. <g> Waste not; want not!
