Yeah, I know about the Belgian francs. In fact, that is what I sent. And
today I could send a check in euros. But that doesn't address the basic
uselessness of the U.S. post office. The problem is that they require you
to specify the amount in US$, which they convert later at a rate to be
determined later. There is no way to send a specific amount in the target
currency.

Belgian francs are the same as Luxembourg francs. These days, thhey
would have to accept euros, too. Would that help anybody?
