With the bantering going on about Duke, etc. there is also the question
that the original poster wanted info on the teacher at Duke, but also I
would think that he wanted some opinions of the teacher there as well (that
would be anything from is he an amazing teacher to does he beat his
students with a stick) - possibly getting an off list reply. The only way
to find out would be to post the question to the list. A letter to Duke
 would tell neither.
Enough being said on that, I have a question. Has anyone ever had hiccups
while playing in a concert? I had a young student the other day who started
getting hiccups while playing, and I thought that it would be quite a
problem for a player if that happened in concert. I assume that it never
happens, as we are controlling the diaphragm while playing, something that
a younger student would not do as well.
