I'll have to add that some _are_ funny, even to the originator of them
when it's explained what the problem is. For instance, my middle son
tutors a couple of Japanese kids in reading & writing. Yesterday one had
had written a book report on Edison and we were reviewing it. One of the
sentences:

Edison was an innovative lizard.

The kid was ROTFL when we pointed out the minor problem.
