Greetings:

I was wondering how those of you who perform in chamber music venues feel
about using different instruments for different movements of the same
composition. i.e., from Bb to A and back again.

In the case of my Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, the key centers would seem
to dictate a change of instrument rather than require the clarinetist to
play in what would seem to be an awkward key. The other factors - range and
color change - are not applicable.

Any thoughts, or do I need to be more specific?

Many thanks in advance.
