I would like to formally announce several concerts that will be coming up in
the near future.

The first is on March 24, 1998 at the 24th Street Theater (near USC) at 8
PM. The Digital Renaissance consort will be splitting a concert with Mark
Trayle on the Fault Lines Contemporary Music Series. The concert is
contemporary music. The first half electronic, and the second
acoustic/instrumental. This performance will be the premiere performance of
the Digital Renaissance Consort. The 24th street theater is located at 1117
W. 24th St., Los Angeles. near 24th and Hoover. For information, call: (213)
667-0417 Just south of the 10 freeway. Come to
for information about the Digital Renaissance Consort. ($12, $9/ students)

The second is a recital I will personally be giving. It is at 7:30 PM at
the United University Church on the Campus of USC. The church is located at
the north end of the campus, near the music buildings. Admission is free.
The program is:

Lutoslawski- Dance Preludes
Argento- To Be Sung Upon the Water (clar/bass, soprano, piano)
Muczynski- Time Pieces
Basset- Soliloquies
Prokoffief- Sonata in D Major (trans. Kenan)

The final is a performance of just the Digital Renaissance Consort on April
11, 1998 at 8 PM. It will be on the Concerts West series at the Unitarian
Church of Santa Monica. The church is located at 1260 18th St. at Arizona
in Santa Monica. ( a couple of blocks north of Santa Monica Blvd.-- Turn
at 18th street) The main attraction on this concert is a performance of a
work for Bass Clarinet, Cello, String Bass and Narrator by Frank Proto based
on poems of Langston Hughes. Our special guest narrator is the acclaimed
actor, Paul Winfield. This is definitely something that cannot be missed.
Admission is $12, $9 students/seniors. For Information, call Mar Preston at
(310) 393-1155

I hope to see some of the Los Angeles Klarinet Types out at these concerts.
If you have specific questions, e-mail me and I'd be happy to answer them.
