Well, I played with braces for two and a half years. I don't know what it
was, or is, like for anybody else, but I had little problem with adjusting my
embochure(sp?). It was a little different, but I adjusted quickly. One thing
I did do was use orthodontic wax on my bottom braces. At least, I did for a
few months. Afterwards, I got used to playing with the metal in my mouth. :)
On the other hand, I now have scars along the inside of my bottom lip and on
the insides of my cheeks. (BTW, I also used wax on the part that rubbed my
cheeks...basically, I used it where ever my braces started to rub my mouth
raw!) The braces rubbing the insides of my mouth was the worst thing that I
can think of. Hope this helps.
