 These posts really annoy me. As a collector, an instrument, how ever
 old, or how bad the condition is worth as much as someone is willing to
 pay. That is, of course the only reason that priceless art exists, along
 with the incredible prices on some Strad. violins. Not to compare the
 quality of Stad. violins to metal clarinets, but I've never heard of a
 metal clarinet cracking from the cold. Just as someone may pay more for
 a Leblanc than a Buufet, it is only in what you want. More power to
 those who like collecting old metal clarinets. I believe what Mr.
 Hardester is doing for his wife's Christmas is very sweet.  I,
 personally, would be very happy to receive a vintage SILVER PLATED
 clarinet. Let's remember that Holton is a division of Leblanc. It's not
 like the instrument is made by Junk and Sons.
