Jennifer,

This may be a luxury where you go to school, but on average, non majors
(music) damage instruments a LOT quicker than those who are majors. As a
repair person, I have to somewhat disagree. This is (I assume) why the
Vito bass was bought. A lot of professional quality
low clarinets are VERY fragile and unless they get TLC, keeping them in
adjustment is near impossible. Leblanc's straight metal Bb Contra has 5
bridge keys that bend and break very easily. Even as a serious player,
this is why I own the paper clip model instead. : )
