Same "basic" design is not good enough for comparison, unless you mean they
have the same detailed design. Subtle rounding of tone holes and other
sharp edges, as well as precise bore shape, and pads and junctions are all
critical elements that make large differences in the way clarinets play.

Therefore, unless they have precisely the same design, the comparison is
invalid. I've never played these instruments, myself.
