| Klarinet Archive - Posting 000261.txt from 1996/01 From: Stan Geidel <00smgeidel@-----.EDU>Subj: Invitation to contribute "Brief Lessons" to OCR
 Date: Sat, 13 Jan 1996 18:34:17 -0500

 Friends,

Beginning in February (or sooner, perhaps!) The Online Clarinet Resource (on
the World Wide Web) will offer a new, regular feature called "Brief Lessons."
A "Brief Lesson" is a short essay on teaching any topic applicable to
clarinet performance. Virtually any topic is fair game--breathing,
tonguing, embouchure, finger motion, playing in the high register, selecting
reeds, adjusting reeds, caring for reeds, storing reeds, etc...there is
really no limit to what might be covered in a "Brief Lesson."

If you have a recommended approach to teaching any topic related
to clarinet performance, consider submitting a "Brief Lesson" for
publication in The Online Clarinet Resource. The length of a "Brief Lesson"
may range from a paragraph to a page--whatever length is required to get
your essential points across. If you have some advice to offer, there is an
audience waiting to read it on OCR.

I believe OCR's "Brief Lessons" could become a fine resource to the many,
many teachers and performers who access OCR each day. If you would like to
submit a "Brief Lesson" for publication on OCR, please send it via email to
 sgeidel@-----.net

Looking forward to hearing from you!
 Stan Geidel
