Will anyone who has played Louis Spohr's Romance Bb Major, please give me any
words of advice they may have? I have a CD with Elisabeth Ganter on clar and
Peter Schmalfuss an piano, it's O.K. ,but I think Ganter could've been more
expressive, more convincing. Of course, I'm not saying I could do better, but
I am
interested in trying the Spohr Romance,
even if I never play it for any thing like juries or recitals, just for my own
enjoyment will be worth it.
However, I had to order the sheet music, ($15 yikes!,) and until it
arrives and
I can take it to my teacher, this CD is all I have to work with.
Anyone out there have any opinions of the piece, intepretive suggestions,
things they've heard and liked (or disliked?) Any published editions better
than some?
Please advise
