My use of Glotin clarinet reeds has been very good, indeed. The ones I
have been using are the chamber music cut. They also market a symphonic
cut. 3.5 is plenty heavy. I believe these reeds have been "designed"
by M. Arignon . The cane if very good. I am not sure if the reeds you
are describing are something different.

I have also been trying some of the new Grand Concert thick blank reeds
from Rico International. I have played on their Grand Concert reeds and
in general found them good. The new ones come in quarter-strengths (this
is something I found out from reading the postings on this list).

So far I have found that the 3.75 is good for me. However, I am not real
excited about the cane. I have been making a good sound with these reeds
but have had trouble in getting a good clean staccato. (???)
