Klarinet Archive - Posting 000071.txt from 1994/01

I, for one, enjoy being a looky-looker (must be a new word). The
messages I read generally are entertaining and occasionally have
something interesting to offer. However, since playing the clarinet
is now a formwer pasttime (my job takes up too much time), I'm
not really up with the questions of the present. Just to let you
know how much time I've spent playing the clarinet in the past
five years: two university orchestra concerts as an extra, one
wedding and one university wind ensemble concert. No professional
gigs since I left Nova Scotia (there I played as an extra for
Symphony Nova Scotia and worked in the office as gopher [ha! ha!]
of sorts. Now as a librarian, I actually occupy two positions and
attempt to do both jobs. Unfortunately, this leaves almost no time
for anything else.
There, I am no longer a lowly looky-looker.
