Yes. And if you play it with lit candles in your
ears, it may even be darker. The greatest amount
of darkness in sound may be achieved by playing
blindfold.

Try the new Yamaha YCL-CSG clarinets. They have a
German bore, with Boehm
keywork. I played them at the recent NAMM show,
and have on coming on trial
from WWBW. They are available in silver or
Hamilton plating. The Hamilton
plating supposedly gives an even darker sound.
