I am looking to get a nice dark German sound. Please do not confuse this with a desire for a British or Viennese sound. Can anybody help me? I am looking for the right Bb clarinet to get that sound since I play everything (A, Eb, D parts) on the Bb. Well, except when I recently did the Grand Partita, where I did all off the bassethorn parts on a bass clarinet. I will always remember, because I sat right next to the contrabassoon and contrabass clarinet players.
