I would guess that they are useless for pads as small as clarinet
pads. The sax pads that are the size of those bottom clarinet pads
don't have resonators on them. BASS CLARINET, however, is another
story. I used them on my old Leblanc, and it brightened up a too-dark
instrument wonderfully. Now that instrument can be heard in an
orchestra. It also equalized the tone and volume of the lower and
upper registers.
