Actually, I have had just as consistent success with Rue Lepic 56 reeds
(Vandoren) than with Legeres. The Legere signature reeds are pretty good,
and they are more consistent than most cane reeds (but not more consistent
than Rue Lepic). And the Legere reeds have limitations for me (mostly,
they play flat in the upper register for me, but I also find the sound
less alive and less interesting).
