The American Chamber Ensemble in Concert on October 23 at Hofstra =

University in Hempstead, New York

The American Chamber Ensemble will perform the first concert of their =

2011-2012 season on Sunday, October 23 - 3 PM at Monroe Lecture Center =

Theater of Hofstra University, on California Avenue in Hempstead, N.Y. =

This concert is presented by the Music Department of Hofstra University. =

Special guest will be composer David Amram.

Featured pieces will be Long Island composer Marga Richter=92s Fandango =

Fantasy for piano, clarinet, violin and cello, American composer Libby =

Larsen=92s Slang for violin, clarinet and piano, World music performer and =

composer David Amram=92s Starry Night for clarinet and piano, =

Rachmaninoff=92s Trio Elegaic for violin, cello and piano and Rebecca =

Clarke=92s Trio for violin, cello and piano. Mr. Amram will be present at =

the concert.

Performers will be ACE Directors Naomi Drucker (clarinet), Blanche Abram =

(piano) and Marilyn Lehman (piano), with violinist Eriko Sato and =

cellist Chris Finckel.

This concert is presented as part of Daniel Pearl World Music Days.
