I don't think there's anything else you can do. There's not much different
you're likely to hear from anyone. If there's really a low B (D for A
clarinet) in the part at the end and you don't have the note, you can't play
it. Substituting F-sharp might work if the conductor can't bear just to have
you rest for a beat, but the written D that would be needed (if this is
indeed the right part only a third up) just ain't there.
