Just a thought specifically about the unresponsive high B. A leaky pad
that's closed for B (including all the throat keys and the LH 1st finger you
mention) would also affect everything below it. In fact, I suspect B would
be the least compromised. What would cause a problem is an open pad that's
sitting too close to its tone hole - maybe particularly the one that moves
with LH 2nd finger or the top pad on the bottom section that moves with RH
1st finger (the one that makes the 1+1 E-flat/B-flat work). Too small a
clearance might add resistance to high B (and also E a 12th below) and
flatten it.
