Greetings, all,

One of my clarinet students will spend her Spring 2012 semester in Rome,
making occasional trips to Florence and points beyond. She is a double
major in art and music; most of her coursework will be art-related, with
classes offered through the American Institute for Foreign Study for which
she will receive credit toward her bachelor's degree here.

She is interested in taking clarinet lessons while she is in Rome --
ideally, but not necessarily, for credit. Our study-abroad coordinator does
not have information regarding this, nor do I.

I would like to ask list members who have dealt with logistics for
situations like this for information about AIFS, potential teachers,
transferability of credit, cost, or related issues. (I hope I'm not casting
too wide a net here.) Please reply to me personally unless you feel that
your insights will be valuable to the list membership.

Thank you in advance,

Steve Heinemann
