Hi David,
No one has replied, so I'll give you my input.
I bought one of the new Masters a few months ago. I have not however,
played the M series for any length of time. I seem to remember the M series
as being more free-blowing and flexible.
I own many mouthpieces, mostly refaced or from our fine list of
high-end makers, (McClune, Fobes, Grabner, Behn).
The Master is not very flexible. This is both an advantage and
disadvantage, lol. It is also very stable and maintains a dark, centered sound
when pushed. The chamber shape is different than my other pieces and requires
a different air column. To my eye, it has a deeper and narrower chamber.
The overall volume is most likely the same, but configured differently.
The Master series is very worthy of trying. Everyone has different
requirements.

Has anyone tried the new Vandoren Masters mouthpiece? If so, how does
it compare to M13, M15?
