Thanks for the info. (Sorry for the misspelling of Pruefer.) It was
probably seven or so years ago that I worked on the horn and when I did a
search, little came up. What that length of time there should be more available.

I once re-built a Selmer Navy clarinet and asked Ralph Morgan about it
since it did not look like any Selmer I had ever seen. He said that during
WWII Selmer sub-contracted work to Penzel & Mueller to meet government
demands.

It would be interesting if someone here had much information on the two
companies.

I once met someone who knew someone who had worked for Pruefer, but I
can't find my notes about it.

It is interesting that Langwill says that Al Laubin made oboes in the
Penzel & Mueller facilities.

Has anyone ever done a research paper on them?
