Karl K. is correct that the Mazzeo system only really affects the B-flat
fingering. It requires that the player abandon "covering" tone holes when
playing throat notes, however.

I believe this clarinet was not broadly adopted because of the advertising
hype which made many people think they would have to re-learn how to play.

It was, and is, a brilliant invention and transforms the intonation of many
critical passages in the literature that center around the throat B-flat.
I still play it in preference to anything else.
