I studied in Austria 40 years ago. There was an institution called the
Dorotheum where you could buy all kinds of stuff at an ongoing auction. I
just googled Dorotheum and came up with their site where you can go to
musical instruments and find out what is available in Vienna and when it is
being auctioned.
