Hi, Here=B4s the wiking again! This time with a suggestion to the cheapest =
ligature you ever had. I saw in the book of David Pino (The clarinet and Cl=
arinet playing), that he uses a shoestring, and he also mentions something =
about velcro. Today I=B4ve tryed a rubberband as ligature. It works fine, b=
ut is a bit awkward on-and-off. Later my wife gave me a piece of velcro, an=
d I made sort of a ring out of it. The size of the ring I made (once for al=
l) so, that it fits over my mouthpiece with the reed on it, not too tight, =
not too slack. It works fine, and I think my tone has become better (I used=
to use metalligature earliere). Can anybody tell me, why I should offer 15=
0 $ on an ordinairy ligature, as long as my velcro ring is doing a fine job?
