Right. I've been principal clarinetist with the Tualatin Valley
Community Band for 21 years now. I'm arrogant enough to consider myself
one of the key contributors to the band's sound. Newcomers to the
clarinet section are usually quite surprised to learn that I'm playing
on a plastic Leblanc Vito clarinet with a plastic reed.
