It is, of course, an Evette, as in Evette and Schaeffer. Paul Evette and
Ernest Schaeffer's company OWNED Buffet-Crampon from 1885 to 1929, thus the
name tie-in. If it was made in West Germany, then it was probably made
under contract by Schreiber. Very recently, Buffet terminated the contract,
then BOUGHT Schreiber. The German-made clarinets are quite different in
specifications from Buffet's French models, but are still decent, especially
older ones.
