The WWBW list is about as complete as any I know. Of course, tip openings
do not tell the whole story. Facing lengths are also critically important,
and nobody I know of charts those. For example, the B45, according to the
charts, has a relatively open tip. But since it has a long facing, the
effect, as it presents itself to the reed, is the same as a medium
opening/medium lay.

Speaking of Vandoren mouthpieces, I have finally discovered one that I can
play in tune in the altissimo register: the M30. I don't know what is
different about it, but it works for me, where no other Vandoren, and I have
tried many, does.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
