The duo offering for Pleyel at www.imslp.org is certainly impressive, extending from catalog number B.433,434 then again at B.501-585 for a variety of instrument combinations. Only a few of the pdf files are identified by opus numbers. Does anyone know if opus 14 is the same as any one of those catalog identifications?

Years ago I found a published Beethoven wind quintet entitled "Contradanse", so I poked around the composer's symphonic scores until I discovered that the quintet version was a combination of his Contradanses 5, 6 and 12 from catalog number Woo 14.

On another occasion I found a quintet, "Andante from Six Sonatas" identified simply as by "Bach." It turns out that a more complete ID wold have read "Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel (1714 - 1788) Sonata II (Andante) from Six Sonatas, originally for
two flutes, two clarinets, two horns and bassoon."

Let us know if you're able to make a match on the Pleyel Opus 14 and any of the catalog numbers. It's always satisfying to give a modest nudge to musical scholarship.
