It's probably a Buffet . . . _www.buffet-crampon.com/en/_
(http://www.buffet-crampon.com/en/) . . . There's a plug-in for serial numbers. Yours
comes up as being manufactured in 1989. The Evette should be comparable to the
current E11 or E13. You can check it out at Buffet.

We bought a clarinet several years ago but know nothing about it. Both my
husband I play woodwinds and this horn has a very nice sound BUT I cannot
find out very much about it. It is marked as an Evette, made in West Germany
and the only number on it is 79445. I was able to figure out that Evette
was bought by Schriber and then could not find anything further.
Is there anybody out there that can tell me anything about this horn??
What is it made of? I read that clarinets made in West Germany had to have
silverplated keys as they were afraid of nickel allergies.....?? Is this
true--does anybody know.?
I would certainly appreciate any information anyone could supply. Our
granddaughter is in7th grade and has already been given a scholarship to
summer music camp, so we would like her to have any advantage we can provide.
Sadly, we cannot afford a new wood clarinet to the tune of $1200 but we
would hope we can help her by providing a better horn than the plastic one she
has now. The difference in quality of sound is quite surprising,
Any info would be really appreciated..thank you all so much.
