We bought a clarinet several years ago but know nothing about it. Both my h=
usband I play woodwinds and this horn has a very nice sound BUT I cannot fi=
nd out very much about it. It is marked as an Evette, made in West Germany =
and the only number on it is 79445. I was able to figure out that Evette wa=
s bought by Schriber and then could not find anything further.
Is there anybody out there that can tell me anything about this horn?? What=
is it made of? I read that clarinets made in West Germany had to have silv=
erplated keys as they were afraid of nickel allergies.....?? Is this true--=
does anybody know.? =

I would certainly appreciate any information anyone could supply. Our grand=
daughter is in7th grade and has already been given a scholarship to summer =
music camp, so we would like her to have any advantage we can provide.=A0 S=
adly, we cannot afford a new wood clarinet to the tune of $1200 but we woul=
d hope we can help her by providing a better horn than the plastic one she =
has now.=A0 The difference in quality of sound is quite surprising,
Any info would be really appreciated..thank you all so much.
