Martin Freres (French for Martin Brothers) was a decent manufacturer. However, I have seen the Lamonte brand only on relatively poor-quality instruments. It might have been their cheap line.

I think the name was use by the Boosey and Hawkes/Buffet group afterwards as I am fairly sure the original manufacturers (based at La Couture, France ) don't seem to have existed after about 1930.

Could someone tell me any information on this type of clarinet? I've never heard of this kind before.
