Hi, folks -

If you examine the clarinet in the photo with the listing at Sotheby's web site, it appears the the two main joints have the old Selmer logo stamped on them, which is about right for the time period prior to 1930-31 (similar to the Buffet logo, and it says Selmer a Paris Brevette). But the barrel looks to have the more modern Selmer logo, it's turned a little sideways and hard to see for certain. It could have 10S stamped on it. The case is the same as my two ancient Selmer BT clarinets. Mouthpiece is a VD B45 with VD cap and the ligature looks like a Bonade. I'm not familiar with a "K" serial number, the clarinets with the more modern logo would have begun with the "L" serial numbers in about 1931.
