Some ligatures stamped "Alto Sax" will in fact fit some soprano clarinet
mouthpieces. I have used these on a number of occasions successfully to
replace broken or missing clarinet ligatures in our rental "fleet".

I notice in the June 17 book sale (of all places) at Sotheby's New York, a
clarinet owned and played by Goodman in the 30s. You can read about it in
