Vann, Karl Leister or Leon Lester (no Leon Leister). I studied with Leon.
Frank Cohen with the Cleveland Orchestra does quite a few embellishments on his recording.

Some months back a respected contributor to this list wrote the following:
"When Mozart writes a line you have to look for repeated material. Look at
the third measure of the first clarinet entrance. "F-D, F-D C-B-natural."
That repeated F-D is an invitation for you to do it differently on the
repetition. Mozart wants you to be part of the creative process, and you
all you are doing is playing what he wrote. And as for the C-B-natural, how
many ways can you think of to get from C to B-natural other by going
directly from one note to the other."
I have recently listened closely to six recordings of K622 by contemporary
well-know clarinetists, and find none of them who take these opportunities
for embelishment. Can someone direct me to a CD where the artist does such?
(Of the 6, my favorite is Leon Leister with St. Martin in the Fields.)
Thanks in advance!
