Enjoy the program! I had a chance to compare Bruce's Eb mpc which you made to my old Hite and recent Fobes. Your mpc played very well - very dark sound, and good even response. If I ever need another Eb mpc. (and for a lot of reasons, I hope not!!!) I'd buy one of yours.

re: Laura Tarbox's case lock - she took it to a locksmith, who was able to figure out the combination. Someone had changed it, and the locksmith said it was unlikely to be accidental! He showed her how to reset it, and she has set it to something more useful than "000".

Drucker was here in Richmond not long after he retired. I've never been a big fan, but went to hear him and see the master class. Good Master class - useful stuff to say about all the repertoire he heard. Also, he played the Eb Brahms, and I wasn't expecting much. But he sounded great - none of the excessive vibrato that he was often using toward the end in NY Phil, and a beautiful sound. I should sound so good when I'm 80!

Hope you're doing well.

Clarinets, like lawyers, have cases, mouthpieces, and they need a constant supply of hot air in order to function. (Victor Borge)
