No it is not a bass clarinet. OH how I wish it was.... I am sorry for the
confusion. I swear, if it was. I would never have told a sole.
okay... so I guess it would be an alto clarinet. and after doing some
investigating on my own I have no idea what key. I don't know if they were
making them in the Bb range or they were all over the place at this point. So I
am feeling like a moron about this beautiful instrument.

It has a neck piece thing that spins that I would guess behaves the same way as
adjusting the barrel on a wood clarinet???? If I am to understand this
correctly. But again.... I am unclear.

Oh yeah, it DESPERATELY needs new pads and cork. There is a name on the case
that reads Mary Ann Fishe... don't know if it should read Fisher. Sitting in a
storage unit for 30 years can do that. And no one has a clue on where it came
from. The keys don't even look like they were ever used.

I am just dumb founded. How can ANYONE treat an instrument like this???? I am so
appalled. It just frustrates me to no end.

So I will get it checked out before I decide what to do with it. I personally
don't like the sounds of metal/brass instruments. Its a personal choice, I know.
Although realizing what I have just wrote, this might be near to impossible due
to were I live..... Wimberley, TX... don't laugh.

So, I will find out who, what, and the where. I do appreciate all of you adding
in your two cents. I also like the sense of humor. And yes, it really was a
storage locker. And no, they still have no idea how it got there.

Will keep you all updated,

Heather

Everyday is a new chance to see how much fun I can have.
